ROOF EDGE PROTECTION
Flexible protection for exposed roof edges.
VantEdge products can be configured for everything from short sections of exposed roof edge to long continuous perimeter runs. Weighted, non-penetrating baseplates support the guardrail without requiring attachment through the roof membrane, while aluminum rail can be cut to suit the dimensions of the rooftop.
Corners, changes in direction and engineered returns can be incorporated using the same family of modular components. Where additional counterweight is required, baseplates can be added according to the engineered configuration.
ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT
Protection where rooftop work happens.
HVAC units, mechanical equipment and other rooftop systems often require regular inspection, maintenance and service. When that work brings personnel into areas where fall protection is required, VantEdge can be configured to create a permanent protective barrier around the work area or between personnel and the exposed roof edge.
Standard kits or when required - customized systems allow the guardrail to follow equipment layouts accurately. Individual sections can be sized around the application while maintaining the requirements of the engineered configuration
ACCESS POINTS
Protection from the moment workers reach the rooftop.
Roof hatches, fixed ladders and other rooftop access points can place workers near an exposed edge immediately upon entering or leaving the roof. VantEdge products can be configured around these areas to establish a protected transition onto the rooftop and help guide personnel toward safer areas.
Using the same baseplates, posts, aluminum rail and modular fittings, layouts can incorporate corners, returns and openings appropriate to the access point without introducing an entirely separate guardrail platform.
DESIGNATED WORK AREAS
Create protected areas where maintenance happens.
Some rooftops have specific areas that personnel access repeatedly for maintenance, inspection or other work. Rather than protecting an entire roof perimeter where it may not be necessary, VantEdge kits can be configured to provide guardrail around specific areas where protection is required.
Modular components allow sections to be arranged around the work area and sized to suit the available rooftop space. The result is a purpose-built configuration using the same engineered VantEdge platform only where you need it.
